There is big news coming out of Net Entertainment this week. The Scandinavian casino software provider has just announced that they have acquired fellow developer, Red Tiger Gaming in a deal which is thought to be worth ₹17.26 billion. Further add-ons to the acquisition could take the total value of the agreement beyond the ₹19.2 billion mark.
Both Red Tiger Gaming and Net Entertainment currently provide titles to a wealth of Indian online casinos. However, under the new deal, players who are signed up to a site which only offers one could soon find themselves able to play games from both.
About Red Tiger Gaming
Red Tiger Gaming has stormed into the limelight over the last two years. They have rapidly risen from a fledgeling casino software provider to one of the most renowned providers in the Indian online casino world. Their exciting and imaginative slots have clearly caught the eye of NetEnt, who will now be adding Red Tiger to their portfolio.
Some of the more popular Red Tiger slots which can currently be found at Indian betting sites include Phoenix Fire: Power Reels, Dragon’s Luck, Pirates’ Plenty, and Mystery Reels. This week, the provider also unveiled their latest MegaWays slot, as Golden Leprechaun made its debut online.
The Future of Red Tiger Gaming and Their Slots
The acquisition by NetEnt isn’t likely to change too much for Red Tiger Gaming. Their funding will obviously be increased, as the might of NetEnt is now backing them. Moreover, profits will now pour directly into Net Entertainment’s coffers rather than their own. However, Red Tiger will more than likely have free reign to continue to develop original titles, in much the same way as Quickspin has following their buy-out by Playtech.
What Does the Acquisition Mean for Indian Casino Players?
NetEnt buying out Red Tiger could have a positive impact for players at Indian casinos. It is highly likely that games from both Red Tiger and NetEnt will now appear at online casinos powered by or offering titles from either one of them. Moreover, NetEnt and Red Tiger and likely to share features, gaming engines, software and technology, vastly improving the quality of games from both developers. For Indian casino players, the news of Red Tiger’s acquisition could see a flurry of new, impressive games heading their way.
