There’s no better game than a live one! The experience of facing off with or against real players and an actual dealer is quite unique. Of course, you shouldn’t join a live dealer casino unprepared! But if you’ve done your homework and picked the right place, the next obvious question comes to mind. What games can we play here in India?
And, fortunately for us, the answer is the same as everyone else! There are no distinct limitations on what Indian gamblers can play. So browse through your casino, find a game that looks interesting, and get started! Or, let us guide you through some of our favourites which maximize great wins and a fun time.
As a general rule of thumb, most casinos tend to stick to the basic forms of blackjack. Sure, it may seem like there are a lot of blackjack tables. But that’s usually it: a lot of tables following the same ruleset, with different table limits. But if you stumble across a good casino, you may find a few fun variants.
Our personal favourites are Double Exposure and Pontoon. Double Exposure can be hard to find since it tends to give players an edge. It does so by making the dealer reveal their cards immediately. But, as a result, prizes from all wins are lowered to compensate.
Pontoon plays similar to regular blackjack, except players cannot stand on hard hands ranging from 12 to 14. If you’re playing Australian Pontoon, you also won’t have access to any 10s, as they have been removed from the deck.
Roulette can come in many different forms, but the basic roulette strategy usually applies to all. The most obvious roulette variants are the American and European versions of the game. Here, the choice is obvious: the European version is superior in every way. It has one zero instead of two, making wins more frequent.
A great subset of European roulette is French roulette. For the most part, this roulette table will be the same as its European counterpart. But what makes French roulette unique are rules like La Partage and En Prison. La Partage and En Prison both apply to even money bets if the number you get is zero. In that case, La Partage gives you half of your bet straight away, while En Prison lets you keep half that money for the next bet.
Lightning Roulette also deserves an honorable mention. It changes up the formula by lowering the RTP and adding new special features.
While baccarat is available, it’s the only game on this list that rarely has any variants. If it does, they will usually include tables with the same rules, only played faster. The only real gameplay distinction you can find is regular and Non-Commission Baccarat. Non-Commission Baccarat eliminates the house edge by adjusting its best, making it more attractive than its regular counterpart.
For the most part, poker games default to Texas Hold’Em rules. Seeing as it’s the most popular version by far, we can’t say we’re surprised. Live casinos in India tend to focus on either Texas Hold’em or Carribean Stud Poker.
Which version you’ll play mostly depends on how much you value bluffing and tricking your opponents. Personally, the element of toying with other players is half the fun in poker for us. But it’s nice to have options!
Occasionally, you will come across games that do not fit in any of the above four categories. And in almost all the cases we’ve come across, it has been Evolution Gaming offering these releases! As the leader in live dealer games, they have been at the forefront of innovative new releases.
Two games especially popular in India are Live Teen Patti and Live Andar Bahar, again coming from the Evolution Gaming cuisine.
Have you ever wanted to just play poker side bets? You can do so with Side Bet City! Enjoy the thrill of watching a bonus wheel spin? You can combine it with special features in Monopoly Live! Ever wanted to participate in a game show from the comfort of your own home? Deal or No Deal is for you!
