Greek mythology has a whole host of cool stories that can be turned into slots. But to this day, the three sisters who weave the Threads of Fate is one of our favourites. So, when Playtech slots announced that would be the focus of their next Age of the Gods game? Well, we were quite excited to say the least! The daughters of Nyx and Erebus control everyone’s fate, from beginning to end. So you’d best hope they’ve planned a progressive jackpot in your future!
Age of the Gods: Fate Sisters’ RTP ranges between 92.95% and 93.02%. And no matter which way we slice it, it’s far too low for our liking. On top of the four progressive jackpots, players get a re-spin with Scatter pays, and three different free spin rounds.
The visuals are a slight upgrade over the base Age of the Gods, but not by much. The background image is a lot cooler, in our opinion. But the animations aren’t quite as impressive. But theme and graphics only take you so far! While we like the more focused nature of this slot, the bonuses aren’t nearly as exciting.
The game has a medium variance, making it quite easy to pick up and play. It walks the sensitive tightrope between low and high volatility, and does a good job at it! Wins are frequent enough that you don’t get bored, but they’re not miniscule like with most low variance releases.
You can set your coins between ₹1.00 and ₹100.00 for each spin. By changing their line bet and number of active paylines, gamblers are also able to adjust their total bet. You can stake as little as ₹1.00, or you can stake as much as ₹2500 per spin. It’s a good betting spread, but it does come with some downsides. Turning off paylines automatically lowers your odds of winning, so we advise against doing that!
Fate Sisters doesn’t really have a real distinction between high and low value symbols. Each icon is progressively more valuable than the previous, with no major jumps. The only exception are the three sisters, whose top prizes are drastically different. Other symbols include playing card royals, the thread and the shears. There’s also the golden coin Wild, and a portal Scatter.
Sisters Gift: When the three sisters land in specific positions on the board at the same time, they award a single re-spin. During this re-spin, Lachesis, Clotho and Atropos are frozen in place. After the re-spin, the three sisters will act like Scatters, being able to pay from any position. You cannot activate it during free spins, and you cannot retrigger it immediately after the re-spin ends.
Fates Portal: Collect three Scatters in any position to win three different free spin rounds. Players are able to pick which one they like best. If the sister associated with the special feature appears on the third reel, she awards three more extra turns. The slot offers you the following:
Progressive Jackpot: This bonus activates randomly. The progressive jackpots are linked across every game in the Age of the Gods series. Once active, you have to collect three matching coins to win one of the four progressive jackpots.
Visually, it’s a slight upgrade. The theme is more focused, as it concentrates on the three sisters, rather than a whole bunch of deities. And while everything else is better, the animations feel like they’ve seen a downgrade.
And while we were quite set to like this release, it shot itself in the foot with its super low RTP. It floats around 93%, which is a massive downgrade from the usual 96%. The original Age of the Gods also had a lower RTP, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as it is here. Because of this, we cannot recommend Fate Sisters.
