The run-away success of the original Bloodsuckers made it obvious a sequel would eventually be released. NetEnt decided to try a different approach this time. In the original, you were a vampire hunter, whose goal was to kill each vampire you found. The sequel places you into the shoes of a young vampire called Amilia, who returns to the cursed castle. Plenty of wealth can still be extracted from this place – provided you don’t get caught my demons, that is.
Like the original, there’s no constantly playing music. Instead, the slot uses ambient noises to keep you on your toes, so to speak. Bloodsuckers 2’s RTP is 96.94%, which is almost a whole percentage point higher than current average. The special features should feel familiar to players who enjoyed the original game. Free spins with a multiplier, a point-and-click bonus, and two minor special features that increase your odds of winning the previous two. With a little luck, these bonuses will assist you in winning the 1298x jackpot.
The graphics are a clear upgrade compared to the original. Amilia is constantly present on the reels, and will adjust her crossbow from time to time. The animations for the symbols are also very well done. NetEnt’s release wisely didn’t change gameplay that much. It keeps all the core elements, while enhancing them slightly, like a proper sequel should. There’s really no downsides to Bloodsuckers 2 that we can think of. It has our seal of approval.
The low volatility is carried over from the original into the sequel. Gameplay will be quite similar, as a result. During normal gameplay, you will see a lot of small, frequent pays that keep you from losing too much. But if you want any more meaningful prizes, you will have to make use of the special features. There’s no big jackpot prize to score. Instead, your best bet are multiple, consecutive wins.
Coins in this slot can be set between ₹1.00 up to ₹100.00 per spin. By changing their bet level and coin value, Indian casino gamblers are able to adjust their total bet. The very minimum you can spin with is ₹25, while the maximum wager you can set is ₹2500 for each spin. Casual players won’t be thrilled that their minimum stake is so high, but we can already see high rollers celebrating.
Icon design seems to be the one thing that Bloodsuckers 2 regressed with. In the original, you were a vampire hunter, so you had various tools to dispose of them. Here, you are treated to playing card symbols turned into gemstones, each with a different colour. Their colour scheme matches with the medium paying vampire icons, and as you can expect, this is no coincidence. The highest prize you can win in this game is worth 1298x your total bet.
Blood Rose Free Spins: Three or more Scatters in any position reward ten free spins. While the extra turns are being played, a 3x multiplier is applied to all wins. Collecting three or more Scatters again during the bonus will grant ten more extra turns.
Hidden Treasure Bonus Game: NetEnt’s release also keeps the point-and-click special feature. Here, you need to land three Bonus symbols, starting from the leftmost reel. If the Bonus is activated with four or five Bonus icons, all wins are doubled or tripled during their duration. You select chests, which can reveal cash prizes, or three additional things:
Random Features: There are two minor bonuses that fall into this category. Scatter shots and Bonus shots. Each one of these is used to increase the odds of winning free spins or the bonus game, respectively.
When we replayed the original Bloodsuckers in preparation for this review, we kept wishing it’d look better. And now, we’ve gotten our wish! Furthermore, all cash prizes and bonuses have mostly stayed the same. The RTP is slightly lower, but the maximum prize has been increased to make up for it.
The sequel to NetEnt’s slot is a resounding success. It expands the original concept, without ruining any part of it. We can easily recommend Bloodsuckers 2 to anyone who’s interested in the game. Give it a try yourself, and see what all the hype is about.
